Birth Records are not public information and can only be obtained by the Individual, Parent or Legal Guardian.

In Person - $13.00 1st Copy
Submit a Current Driver's License or State I.D., and fill out the application for a Birth Certificate in the County Clerk's Office.

By Mail - $15.00 1st Copy

Complete the form below, include a copy of your Current Driver's License or State ID, along with payment and a self addressed business sized stamped envlelope to Manistee County Clerk's Office, 415 Third Street, Manistee, MI 49660.

Send a letter stating Birth Name of person, date of birth, place of birth, father's name, mother's maiden name, and a copy of your Current Driver's License or State ID with a self addressed business sized stamped envelope to the Manistee County Clerk's Office, 415 Third Street, Manistee, MI  49660.

*Please note, any Birth Certificates paid for by credit card will still need to have a written request along with proof of identification submitted to the Manistee County Clerk's Office.*

Additional Copies - $5.00 per copy

Fee for additional copies of the same record purchased the same day. 

Checks or money orders should be made payable to the Manistee County Clerk. Credit Cards not accepted.
